First team coaching setup confirmed

We can now reveal that the coaching team who are supporting the new manager, Steve Simpkin, for the coming season is:

Steve said: "I am delighted that the team have come on board to support me this season, and I'm confident that together we can help the club achieve its ambition to reach the Northern League.

"Dave Peacock is my long-standing number two, and we have worked together for over five years. His football know-how and wealth of knowledge in north-east football will be invaluable to us as we build a squad that can challenge at the top end of the division.

"Jason has been part of my coaching team at Redcar for the last two seasons and is a much-needed voice of reason and calm. He sees the positive side in most situations and is great at keeping the squad in a positive mindset.

"Jake is actually one of my players from the Redcar squad who, unfortunately, has suffered a long-term knee injury, keeping him out of the playing side of things for at least another 18 months. I simply wasn't going to allow him not to be involved, though, and was delighted when he agreed to join the coaching side.

"Thomas is a new addition to my team, but I am delighted to have persuaded him to get involved. He has moved back to his native north-east after obtaining a degree in Sport & Exercise Science and a Masters Degree in performance analysis. He has worked in EFL academies, helping to develop players who have gone on to be regular first-team players, holds his UEFA coaching licences and has coached in grassroots football extensively. I can't wait to see him working with the team and using all those skills to help the players develop and improve.

"The final piece of my jigsaw, and one I'm really pleased with, is getting the services of Joe Lillie to assist during pre-season. Joe and I worked together at Redcar for two seasons, and I can think of nobody better to help get the team playing the style of football I'd like to see during what will be a busy and intense pre-season."

Kader chairman Alan Formby-Jackson added: “I’m really pleased Steve has his coaching team in place now and can begin the work to try and put together a squad that will challenge at the top of the table. We all realise it’s a tough job, but I’m confident they will be successful."
