3G Pitch formally opened
It was a great day for Kader FC on Tuesday the 19th of February with the official opening of our 3G pitch.
We were pleased to welcome @Boro’s George Friend who was kind enough to cut the ribbon. He spent time with players and parents and happily posed with everyone for all their photos.
The 3G Pitch is a great facility for the club and we know it will help take the club further in it’s plans for future development. Since it has been installed the club have attracted 300 more players across all age groups.
The state-of-the-art pitch, which meets FIFA standards, was installed with the support of a £360,000 pound grant from the Football Foundation with £100,000 coming from our own funds.
Alan Formby-Jackson, the club chairman and treasurer, said, “We are a community club and, yes, it’s nice to try and win things, it’s nice to win leagues, but we want to try and be inclusive and involve as many kids from as many different backgrounds as possible. In addition to the new pitch, the grant has also enabled us to install boundary fences around our grass pitches and to buy a tractor and other equipment required to maintain all of our pitches. I would particularly like to thank the pitch installers SIS, John Deere, who supplied the tractors, Nobles Fencing and of course the Football Foundation, who helped make this project possible.”
The opening of the 3G pitch is the first of several ambitious plans to further enhance the facilities and opportunities for local players
